REA 1223 - Reading Enhancement II
3 Credit Hours
A course provided to help students develop reading skills necessary for success in college. Diagnostic testing followed by practice in skills according to the needs of the student. Emphasis on spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary and study skills. Guidance in developing wide reading interests. Placement is based on the ACT Reading Sub-Score of 13-16. A grade of “A”, “B” or “C” exits the student from reading courses. A grade of “D” or “F” requires the student to repeat REA 1223.
