PNV 1524 - IV Therapy And Pharmacology
4 Credit Hours
This course is designed to prepare the practical nurse to perform the expanded role of IV therapy as outlined in the Mississippi Nursing Practice Law, Rules and Regulations. The student, upon completion of this course and the practical nursing program, will receive a certificate to indicate that he/she has completed this portion of the course and are ready for the clinical check-offs in the job setting as outlined in the Board of Nursing Requirements. Practical Nurse licensure will be required before completion of IV certification.
Prerequisite: Pre-requisites: all first semester courses.
Lecture Hours: Three hours lecture.
Lab Hours: Two hours lab.
