CVT 2414 - Invasive Cardiology I
4 Credit Hours
Introduces students to the specific procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and the use of the resulting data for patient diagnosis. Additional topics include aseptic techniques, sterilization, patient assessment, radiography, pharmacology, cardiac wave forms, coronary artery anatomy, equipment and tools utilized in cardiac catheterization, hemodynamic data and analysis, right and left heart caths, and complications and treatment of cardiac catheterization.
Lecture Hours: Two hours lecture.
Lab Hours: Two hours lab.
Field Hours: 60 hours (contact hours)
