CHE 1213 - General Chemistry I, Lecture 3 Credit Hours
A lecture course that covers the fundamental principles of chemistry and their application. Chemical nomenclature, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, atomic structure, bonding theories, energy, periodic properties, and gas laws are among the topics discussed in depth.
Prerequisite: Previous credit or concurrent enrollment in MAT 1313 (College Algebra) or higher math course. Recommended completion of at least two years high school algebra and one year of high school chemistry or college equivalent. CHE 1313 (Principles of Chemistry) is recommended as preparation for students currently in MAT 1233 (Intermediate Algebra). Corequisite: CHE 1211 .
