Utility Line Worker

The Utility Line Worker Technology curriculum is designed to prepare the student for entry-level employment in the field of utility power transmission and distribution construction, troubleshooting, and repair. The utility line worker competencies required in this curriculum were developed to coincide with the standards for the electric power generation, distribution, and transmission industry as described in the United States Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Special Admissions: 

• Complete an Application for Admissions to the college. 

• Complete an Application to the Utility Line Worker program. 

• Submit all required documents listed below.*All documents must be submitted prior to program acceptance.* 

• Submit Memorandum of Understanding (Click here for form) 

• Submit a copy of valid Driver’s License 

• Submit a copy of MVR. (Click here for website) 

• Submit a DOT Physical - Can be completed at any physician’s office 

• Submit a DOT Drug Screen from an approved FMCSA provider (Due no earlier than 30 days prior to the first day of class - special instructions will be included in acceptance letter) (Due no earlier than 30 days prior to the first day of class)  

• Submit a copy of valid Class A CDL Permit with issue date of no earlier than July 1st.
