General College, A.A.

The General College Degree Plan serves as a recommended guide for semester-by-semester course selection, while also allowing students to explore various academic fields. Note that the sequence of some courses may be adjusted, and substitutions are sometimes permitted. Subject-specific degree plans are available on myNWCC (click the Degree Plans tab), and students should consult their advisors for detailed guidance.

Electives within the General College Degree Plan offer a valuable opportunity to sample diverse disciplines and uncover new interests. The General College Degree Plan also provides the flexibility to choose electives that directly align with transfer requirements for specific majors, pathways, or programs at a university. By consulting university degree plans, students can strategically select Northwest electives to ensure a smoother transfer process. However, careful consideration of transfer requirements and course availability is crucial.

While these degree plans offer a strong foundation for transfer, students bear the ultimate responsibility for confirming that all courses meet the specific requirements of their intended transfer institution.
